Short Film 2022
I think we can all agree that sometimes ... you just gotta say ... FUCK IT!
Using different styles and media, Fuck It is a short about not fitting in, wanting to please everyone by acting "right",
the stress that it brings and almost drowning in your feelings during the process of it all.
"Fuck It" is a mixed-media film about fitting in and adjusting who you are to different groups.

You are a different version of yourself every time, with your parents, your teachers, and your friends.
By using a different style that the character has to adjust to every time she enters a new situation, the film explores how long she can keep this up and what will be the final straw.

The film was made using different kinds of media, both digital and traditional. I used lino cut, Indian ink, and post-it notes. All of these give the film a unique, handmade feel. Aside from aesthetic purposes, they also play a significant role in the story.

"Fuck It" was my bachelor graduation project, and it gave me many new opportunities. I was nominated for the St. Joost Penning and selected for the Dutch Film Festival, Kaboom, and GoShort.
All in all, an amazing start right after finishing my bachelor’s!
